Nestled within Chichester’s city walls, Fernleigh is a place to shop, eat, drink and spend time together. Drop in for a browse, stay for lunch from our kitchen or meet friends for evening drinks.

Across four floors of our Georgian townhouse, you’ll find independent shops, a restaurant and bar, Reformed Pilates, beauty rooms, art classes and private spaces for meetings and celebrations. Our changing calendar of events brings even more reasons to visit.

Our Bar & Kitchen

Our independent kitchen serves brunch and lunch made with ingredients from Sussex farmers and local producers where possible. Our Head Chef Claire brings experience from Michelin-starred kitchens to a menu that makes the most of what’s in season, whether you’re joining us for a leisurely brunch or lunch with friends.

There’s excellent coffee, alongside wines and cocktails for when the afternoon turns into an evening out. Drop in after shopping, bring your four-legged companion after a walk along the city walls, or join us for a drink before the theatre.

Little Cowdray at Fernleigh

Explore the farm shop, deli and lifestyle shop at Little Cowdray. You’ll find produce from the Cowdray Estate and local suppliers, freshly baked goods, gifts, homeware and plenty to take home for dinner.

Little Cowdray opening hours:

Monday–Saturday, 9am–5pm
Sunday, 10am–3pm.

Please note that dogs are not permitted inside Little Cowdray, although they are welcome elsewhere within the building.
